The environs of the National
Eagle Center play host to countless other migratory
waterfowl.
Most notably is the Tundra
Swan migration through Rieck's Lake in Alma, Wisconsin.

Hi Marybeth,
We stopped by Alma on Sunday, only saw two swans, but could not tell if they were tundras or trumpeters. We drove down to Weaver, and across from the Minnetrista cemetery we saw at least 5,000 (probably 10,000) ducks, geese and coots, plus about 2000 tundra swans.
The ducks included lesser scaup, redheads, canvasbacks, buffleheads, mallards, gadwalls, American wigeons, northtern shoveler and northern pintail.
We did not see the eagle at the nest there, or at the nest farther north of there. We did see an eagle at the nest at Zumbro Falls, and three eagles soaring north of the church at Millville.
We also saw eagles at the nest on Belle Creek in Goodhue County, east of the intersection of cty 8 and cty 9.
Here in Burnsville, along Black Dog Road, by the NSP power plant, we have been seeing two pair of adults, two pair of yearlings, and a three year old. We also had a dark phase Harlan's hawk subspecies of the Red-tailed Hawk.
And as we left the house that morning our car was accosted by a ruffian tom turkey.
